A Quilty Bucket List...Why not?

This list is more likely to change sooner or later, every time I see a quilt or pattern I like, I want to make it...There are a few projects that have been on my mind for a while. Here's how my "Quilty Bucket List" looks like nowadays.

1. When I first saw "Fancy That", it was love at first site...I knew I would be making that one, and I did. I am done with the top, I am now looking at fabrics for the backing and then off the be quilted.

2. Most definitely a Sawtooth Stars Quilt inspired by this one
(I have been wanting to make one since the first time I saw this quilt and I will probably make this one very soon), I love the idea of using red as the background.

3. A Spiderweb Quilt inspired by this one or this one...possibly with my Kaffe Fassett fabric stash.

4. A Giant Vintage Star by Jenni Baker

5. A Clamshell quilt inspired by this one by Linen and RaspberryIt's such a pretty one! I love the effect of alternating darker and lighter rows.

6. Also, I want to make a quilt for my beloved husband, a "man quilt" for him to keep on the boat (it will be his own quilt). I already started to gather some manly fabrics for this one, I haven't decided on a pattern yet, I was thinking of something simple like a 16 patches...

7. The Marcelle Medallion, this one, has been on my list for a little while, I did give it a start this winter but other stuff took the lead and I opted to set it aside for a bit.

8. I just ordered this book and thinking of making a Granny Square quilt, this one is fairly new on my list, maybe this one could be the one for "HIM"...

9. I should probably put Single Girl on that list as well, the pattern is hiding somewhere in my sewing room, I always liked that one and, lovely!

10. I don't know if I will ever achieve number ten, I would love to make a quilt by hand, hand sewn and hand quilted.

P.S. There is a few more...please forgive me if I keep them for myself...

There is so much I want to do, I enjoy trying different things, I like to learn new techniques, I love fabrics!! But mostly I want to be more confident with my creativity, it's in there, I know it is. I need to be fearless with my ideas and not being afraid to create and bring them to life.

  1. Great list! Thanks for sharing. I'm also drooling over that Marcelle Medallion. I have made the center star twice now, but can't seem to commit to anything further :( I also love spiderwebs, those are two great inspirations! I am so happy to linked up with us - thanks for playing :)
