My Dresden Plate is finished and already being used!
I must admit, I like her very much, I enjoy looking at all the colors and the stitches while snuggling under it. She is cheerful, soft and comfy! I finished this quilt about a month ago, right before we left FL; about time to show and tell ... I was hoping to take photos at the beach, but that didn't happen.
I started this quilt last fall; I was inspired by
Anna Maria Horner's Fan Dance Quilt, you can read more about it here.
This quilt is about 60"x 80" and is made almost exclusively with AMH fabrics.
I used 80/20 batting for the first time; I don't think it was the ideal for hand quilting, but I am quite pleased with the result. Starting at the top and working my way down, I quilted vertical lines every inch using a sashiko thread. Once I decided on the quilting design, it went quickly from there.
This quilt was fun to make, pure joy, I enjoyed every part of it.
Linking up with the 2016 Q2 FAL, this was no.1 on my list, and you can see my original list of proposal HERE
