The Seed Packet Quilt

Isosceles Triangles, a bunch of triangles I cut using an acrylic template.

I started another hexagon quilt, this time I'm trying hexagon templates I bought online from two different suppliers, and I don't like any of them; they are too thick. I prefer paper templates by far; they are more flexible, and lighter too. I fold them a lot, so it needs to be malleable. In my opinion, for what it's worth, paper templates are the best.

  1. Beautiful quilts! I've been curious about trying sashiko stitching on some UFOs. Do you have a blog or video you'd recommend for (hand quilting) beginner? I generally FMQ my quilts to death, the effect on your AMH Dresden quilt is stunning in its simplicity. Do you quilt on a frame or your lap for a quilt that size?

    1. Thank you!
When I think about hand quilting, the first person that comes to my mind is Sarah Fielke, and she has a great video on YouTube.

I quilted this one on a frame and quilted towards me one section at the time. It was quite fast.
